McQuay Tools for Engineers is selection software specifically programmed for the Consulting Engineer. This software allows the selection of most of McQuay International’s equipment:
- Chillers
- Air Handlers
- WSHP

Acoustic Analyzer

Occupant comfort is the goal of all HVAC designers and sound (or noise) is a key parameter in measuring comfort. While acoustic consultants are usually involved in critical applications (such as performing arts centers), the task of creating a

comfortable acoustic environment in most applications falls on the HVAC engineer. For this reason, we have developed the McQuay Acoustic AnalyzerTM – a Design ToolsTM to help estimate the sound of HVAC equipment in a space or outside a building. You can choose between three analyses; outdoor (a/c chillers, rooftop units), zoned comfort system (unit ventilator, WSHP) and central systems (air handling units, chillers). Acoustic Analyzer can help you determine if you need a barrier on outside equipment, if your equipment will pass the specifications set by the designer, or the best location for a silencer in your air handling system.
